I tried the Stride Reformers class and Solis Signature Vinyasa class. Courtney’s reformer class was so good! Her passion shines through and she’s a super motivating instructor. Romika’s yoga class provides variations for beginner to advanced and I enjoyed the challenge. But it may be a bit tough for beginners as I saw quite a few people struggle through the movements. Loved both classes! And beautiful, clean facility.

I absolutely love coming to Solis. The entire front desk team is always so welcoming and kind, and I especially want to thank Hayley for her empathy and compassion. I had an emergency come up, and she handled the situation with so much understanding and care. She even checked in with me afterward which meant so much. Hayley is such a valuable asset to Team Solis. All the instructors are incredible. I take classes with Courtney, Kayla, and Ysabelle almost every week and I love their energy and sense of humor. They are so knowledgeable and make you feel so strong. Every instructor at Solis is fantastic. This studio is a must try for anyone considering Pilates.

Okay a few things but before coming to Solis for the first time… I read a lot of their reviews and was pretty worried about the comments about rudeness and overpacked classes but there were also many good reviews so I thought I’d give them a shot And I’m really happy I did because they have CLEARLY LISTENED TO CUSTOMER FEEDBACK 1) Like everyone else in the winter months I was also delayed despite allowing an extra 30 minutes of time before my class and I was ready for the rudeness and unforgiving policy’s to hit me 😭 but they were so understanding and allowed me to rebook later that day for another class! 2) I know there were concerns about beginner’s coming to the class but before my work out there was a quick lesson for all people new to the studio and extra attention was given to those whose first time it was doing Pilates. The trainer Ashley at the King st location also corrected students form and provided multiple levels of modifications based knowledge skill level AGAIN clearly they’re listening to feedback back 3) they didn’t give me a tour but they did explain where everything was and where my class would be held - which I noticed other customers were upset about Anyway all in all I had a great experience and based on my experience and witnessing their willingness to listen to their community (at least at the King st location) I will be back 💕💕💕 The only thing I would change is maybe a hanging sign on street level because I had a bit of a time finding it 😅 I also agree with the comment about it being a bit squished, removing a couple of reformers would help as I felt I was closer to the girl next to me than in most other studios and it felt a bit close, and the comment about the mirrors but with the lay out of the reformer room I don’t know where you would but more

I attended a scheduled class at this studio and was later marked absent, despite being physically present and participating in the class. When I raised the issue, I was told the error was attributed to ClassPass, and the studio was unwilling to take responsibility or correct the record. What’s most concerning is not just the administrative mistake, but the lack of accountability and understanding of the safety and insurance implications. If a client is present in a class but not properly acknowledged or recorded, it creates a serious risk. In the event of an injury or emergency, the studio’s records would inaccurately reflect who was actually in attendance. I expected clearer communication, ownership of the issue, and a basic correction of the attendance record. Unfortunately, the response I received was dismissive and failed to address the broader liability and safety concerns. This experience has left me disappointed and hesitant to return. I hope the studio reviews its check-in and attendance procedures to ensure accuracy and client safety moving forward.

I have been a loyal fan of Solis for the past year and regularly attend the Etobicoke location, so I was really excited to try the downtown studio. The space itself was absolutely beautiful, and the check-in process before class was pleasant. Unfortunately, my experience after class left me feeling dismissed and uncomfortable. I waited in line to ask a quick question regarding a membership inquiry, and when I mentioned I had a question, I was immediately passed over. The staff member looked to the person behind me and said, “Next to check in, please.” I understand that classes were starting; however, there were two staff members working and the line was very short. After checking in the next person, she did not turn back to acknowledge me, and I was left standing there without any follow-up. I left the studio feeling dismissed and disregarded. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I won’t be returning to the King Street location. The community oriented vibe makes a big difference for me.

They didn’t deserve even one star. I booked a class with them for the first time on ClassPass, and I came from uptown on a heavy snowy day. I was so excited for the class. I arrived five minutes late because of the weather, and the receptionist treated me very rudely. She said she could not let me in and didn’t listen to me at all. I think we need to understand situations and be flexible sometimes in business. They should have considered the weather and why I arrived late. I feel so bad about this location—they wasted my time.

I’ve been there for 2 times already. Both times to hot HIIT Pilates and both times it was rather intensive 🥵(which I liked). And wet cold towels at the end is just what needed🤍 Things to improve: maybe distance between mats should be a bit bigger (at least when the room is not full). And it’s already the second studio which offers mat towel to rent and don’t provide them for free, so I bought mine , but ofc its more convenient when all included :)

New edit: In response to the owner’s claim that this is a “fake review,” I am now attaching proof of my reservation through ClassPass. It’s disappointing that instead of addressing the substance of my experience — which reflects a genuine customer concern — the default response was to deny its validity. Dismissing critical feedback by calling it fake does more damage to your reputation than simply acknowledging that there may be room to improve your customer service. Everyone makes mistakes, and no business is perfect — but taking accountability and showing a willingness to listen goes a long way. To be clear: I was a real customer, I did attend a class at your studio, and my review reflects my personal, lived experience. Shame on you. As a beginner to reformer Pilates, I’ve been trying out different studios using my ClassPass free trial. Most studios I’ve visited have been welcoming and understanding, especially when I explained that I had already ordered grip socks but they hadn’t arrived yet. Many places allowed me to join anyway, some offered non-slip mats, and overall, they were accommodating and supportive. Unfortunately, my experience at Solis Movement was quite the opposite. When I arrived and explained my situation, the front desk staff told me I wouldn’t be allowed in unless I either bought their socks or accepted a no-show and tried to get a refund through ClassPass. There was no flexibility, no option to sign a waiver, and honestly, the tone felt more like a sales push than a genuine safety concern. I didn’t want to cancel my plans for the day, so I bought the socks — but I left feeling frustrated. To be fair, this studio clearly has many customers and must have its value — but personally, it gave me the feeling that whether I joined or not didn’t matter. I didn’t feel welcomed or important as a first-time visitor. That’s not a great feeling to leave a studio with. On top of that, the class itself felt impersonal. I know that in a group class you can’t expect one-on-one attention, but in other studios, instructors still make an effort to offer small corrections — especially for beginners. Pilates is all about control and correct muscle activation, and when you’re new, even a quick cue can make a big difference. I didn’t feel supported or seen during the session. If you’re a beginner looking for a welcoming environment, this might not be the best place to start. Policies aside, how you treat new clients — especially those genuinely trying to follow the rules — really matters.

Thanks so much for your feedback. We’ve recently been targeted by an ex-employee leaving fake reviews, and it looks like we made a mistake here, we’re really sorry about that. We’re always looking to improve real experiences and would love the chance to make this right. Please reach out to maya@solismovement.ca so we can connect.

Absolutely LOVED my first class at Solis! The studio was gorgeous and so inviting. The instructor was knowledgeable, easy to follow and understand. There was an amazing energy within the building. I will definitely be back next time I’m in the city! I highly recommend Solis if you live in Toronto or are visiting the city. You will not be disappointed ♥️

Had a great first time experience @ the Solis King West location. I received a warm greeting as soon as I walked in. There are lockers in the change room where you can set your own 4 digit combination so there is no need to bring a lock. The studio is Absolutely beautiful, clean, modern. I took a reformer class with Maddy called the shape. What I liked about the class was the music! I felt like I was at a club, it gave me energy!! I also loved that she gave a lot of options, you had the choice to level up if you wanted to so the class is great for all levels. This class challenged me in a good way. I will definitely sign up for more classes again:) I left the studio feeling great. Thank you!!
